Jeremy Saint Laurent serves as the Chief Legal Counsel for Springfield Public Schools, where they lead strategic initiatives to strengthen equity, legal compliance, and student-focused policy across the district.
With years of experience in the legal and public service sectors, Jeremy Saint Laurent brings a deep commitment to justice, education, and community advancement. Their career includes serving as Director of Litigation and Records Access Officer for the Springfield Law Department, where they managed complex civil litigation and public records compliance on behalf of the City. In addition to his years of public service, Attorney Saint Laurent also practiced employment law with a respected local firm, representing both individuals and employers, and contributed to disaster recovery efforts as part of the Touro Disaster Relief Clinic, providing legal services to survivors of natural disasters.
An experienced legal educator and trainer, Attorney Saint Laurent has conducted numerous trainings for public agencies, nonprofits, educational institutions, and professional associations on a wide range of legal topics, including:

Attorney Saint Laurent is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Courts for the Districts of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Vermont, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
In addition to their legal work, Attorney Saint Laurent is a dedicated mentor and advocate for local Black law students, providing guidance and support to the next generation of attorneys. Their professional insights have been featured in regional media outlets, including Business West Magazine, recognizing their impactful contributions to law, education, and community equity.
In their role with Springfield Public Schools, Attorney Saint Laurent applies their legal and training expertise to enhance policy development, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and support safe, inclusive learning environments. Their work directly aligns with the district’s mission to prepare every student for college, career, and life.
