SPP Last Dollar Scholarship (LDS)
Each year, the Springfield Promise Program provides Last Dollar Scholarships to Springfield Public and Charter High School graduating seniors. Springfield Promise scholarships are need-based and help to bridge the remaining financial gap to college.

Scholarship Tips and Tricks
- Read the scholarship requirements thoroughly to ensure that you fit the criteria. If you do not meet the requirements, there are other scholarships for you.
- Read the essay prompts carefully. You may be able to use the same essay you created for colleges. You just may have to revise some parts.
- Pay attention to deadlines. It is recommended that you complete the application a week before and give yourself time to submit; websites can crash.
- Ask someone to review you application before you submit it.
- Never send anyone money for a scholarship application. You are trying to win money, if you are asked for money then you should research to see if the scholarship is legitimate.
- Do not send anyone your social security number, if a scholarship asks for that information, then research to see if it is legitimate.
- There is no limit to how many scholarships that you can apply for.
- Good luck to you!
