Exceptional Learning and Related Services

Six students of varying traits and abilities with phrase Learning Knows No Bounds

Dear Parent/Guardians and former Student,

The Springfield Public Schools needs your help!

Now that you have been out in the world for a while, we want to hear how you are doing so we can make high school a better place for all our students.

The past year has been challenging in so many ways. If you tell us about your challenges and successes since high school, you will help us understand whether our schools are preparing students to be successful in adult life. You will help us think about how to do a better job supporting students who are in high school now.

Were you able to find a job?

Did you continue your education after high school?

Do you have suggestions for your former high school?

We’d love to know.

Please complete our survey! There are four options:

  1. Answer the survey online using this survey link: https://bit.ly/WorkSchoolSurvey2025.

Complete the enclosed paper survey, put it in the enclosed stamped return envelope, and mail it back to Department Special education & Related Services Springfield Public Schools 1550 Main Street, Springfield, MA.

  2. Call Deborah Pacheco at 413-787-7100 ext. 55626 between the hours of 8am-4pm Monday through Friday. Deborah will go online to get the survey. Then they will ask you the survey questions while you’re on the phone, and complete the survey with you.
  3. If you would rather fill out the survey with someone in person, please come visit us in the 1550 Main St. Springfield, MA between the hours of 9am-3pm Monday through Friday. Ask to speak with Deborah Pacheco.

Answering the survey questions will take you about 5 minutes. Please complete the survey online, mail it to us, call us, or come visit us in person no later than September 12, 2025.

We want to hear from you. What you have to say is really important!

The individual information you share through this survey will be seen by your school/district’s staff, by staff at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and by staff at Crescent Bend Consulting. No one else will see your individual responses. Responses from all of the people who answered the survey from your whole school/district will be publicly reported all together, anonymously, in a way that keeps what you individually said private and confidential.

Please help us by answering this survey! Thank you for your time.
