Pre-School Enrollment


The Springfield Public Schools in Massachusetts Pre-School Program is an integrated program for children between ages 3-5 years old with or without disabilities. Children with disabilities are enrolled through the special education process as described in Massachusetts Special Education Regulations (603 CMR 28.00) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 2005. Children without disabilities are enrolled through an application process that is available on the child's 3rd birthday. 

NEW- beginning with the 2022-23 school year, ALL SPS elementary schools have pre-school classes

The Pre-School Application Process:

STEP 1 - Complete a Pre-School Application Online or at the SAS Center

STEP 2 - Wait to be contacted by the SAS Center

Once space in our program becomes available, the SAS Center team will contact you by phone.

Pre-School Hours:

Full-Day Session - 8:50 AM to 2:30 PM or 3:30 PM
