MassMutual Center Joins Forces with Springfield Public Schools to Promote Attendance with Giant Marquee Display
The MassMutual Center has partnered with Springfield Public Schools to spotlight the district’s “Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow” campaign by featuring its bold graphic on the venue’s giant marquee board. Starting this week, the iconic downtown arena will display the campaign’s message, underscoring the critical importance of school attendance as a key factor in student success.
Located in the heart of Springfield, the MassMutual Center’s marquee is one of the most prominent displays in the city, reaching thousands of community members and visitors each day. By showcasing “Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow,” the center is helping Springfield Public Schools elevate awareness around student attendance as a driver of academic achievement and long-term success.
“We are thrilled to have the MassMutual Center amplify our message to the broader Springfield community,” said Superintendent Dr. Sonia Dinnall. “Attendance is the foundation of student success, and through partnerships like this, we can remind families that every day in school counts. We are deeply appreciative of the MassMutual Center’s commitment to helping us spread the word.”
Mayor Domenic J. Sarno stated, “What a great message displayed here downtown on the MassMutual Center’s digital marquee signage - ‘Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow!’ We know that school attendance is a key factor in success down the road. Showing up may not always be easy, but it pays dividends later on and is worth it for your education. We want to make sure all our students and families understand how crucial it is to build these habits, so we are spreading the message far and wide through our attendance initiative. We are grateful to the team at the MassMutual Center for helping us get the message out. Simply put, show up to move up.”
The “Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow” campaign, which launched in September, is a districtwide initiative aimed at boosting student attendance by highlighting its direct
correlation to academic performance. Research shows that students who regularly attend school are more likely to achieve higher grades, graduate on time, and be prepared for post-secondary opportunities.
Springfield Public Schools will continue to roll out a variety of programs and incentives to motivate both students and families to prioritize attendance. The marquee display at the MassMutual Center is one of several community partnerships designed to reinforce this important message across the city.
“MassMutual Center is proud to partner with Springfield Public Schools in promoting their ‘Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow’ campaign on our state-of-the-art digital marquee,” said General Manager Sean Dolan. "By showcasing this message, we’re reinforcing the vital role that school attendance plays in shaping the future success of students in our community.”
The “Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow” graphic will be prominently displayed on the MassMutual Center’s marquee throughout the 2024-2025 school year, serving as a visual reminder to students, families, and educators of the power of consistent school attendance.
